Luxor-Temple ("Southern Harim of Amun" or "Ipet-Reyst").
|View of the entrance pylon of
Luxor-Temple. Before the pylon stands still one of the obelisks raised
by Ramses II. (slightly higher than 25 m). The 2nd obelisk which is
missing was brought to Paris and raised on Place de la Concorde. The
original basis in front of the pylon, however, is still visable.
The entrance of the pylon is flanked at each side by a seated and a raised statue of Ramses II (from the two raised statues only one is still in place at the rights side). Full Picture
